What to Expect in Terms of Costs:

Diagnostic Testing: Most testing is covered by OHIP, with the exception of the Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) test, which costs $120.
Medications: Your personalized treatment plan will determine medication costs, which typically range between $5,000 and $7,000.
Egg Freezing Procedure: The one-time cost for the egg freezing procedure is $8,000.
Annual Storage: To keep your eggs safely stored for future use, the annual storage fee is $450.

Is egg freezing covered by OHIP?

Unfortunately, egg freezing itself is not covered by OHIP. However, some of the diagnostic testing that we perform to assess your fertility may be covered. Additionally, your initial virtual consultation and follow-up assessment with our Nurse Practitioners are free of charge.

Does my insurance plan cover the cost of freezing my eggs?

Insurance coverage for egg freezing varies widely depending on your plan. Some plans may cover parts of the process, such as diagnostic tests or medications, while others may not. It’s best to check with your provider, and we can help guide you through any questions you might have about coverage.
